How to enable logging to troubleshoot AWS S3 Transport problems

If you have trouble connecting to your S3 Bucket using the AWS S3 transport, you can enable low-level debugging in Diplomat MFT that will record activities of our S3 library.  In order to this, you will have to deploy a few logging JAR files, and an XML configuration file.

Attached to this article is a ZIP file which encapsulates the required steps in the “README.txt” file, which are repeated below for reference:

  1. Stop Service
  2. Copy log4j jar files to
    c:\program files\coviant software\diplomat-j\tomcatWebServer\webapps\diplomat\WEB-INF\lib
  3. Copy log4j2.xml file to
      c:\program files\coviant software\diplomat-j\tomcatWebServer\lib
  4. Restart service
Log files will be generated in c:\programdata\coviant software\diplomat-j\temp
